FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. FSSAI is an Independent organization under the Ministry of Health. FSSAI Registration is mandatory for every individuals or entity that is eligible for an FSSAI food safety Registration or License. When you register with the FSSAI Licence, you are given a 14 digit registration number. This license will, in turn, depend upon the scale of operations.
Procedure for FSSAI Registration
The FSSAI has now launched an online application process called the Food Licensing and Registration System (FLRS).
- Step 1: Visit the FSSAI website (https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in/index.aspx)
- Step 2: Signup by filling all the required details, for example, email ID, Contact details
- Step 3: Make a unique user name that is not registered earlier in the FSSAI website.
- Step 4: After completing all these you will receive a message of confirmation
- Step 5: This message shows that you have been registered online. This will be valid for only 30 days and within 30 days you need to apply for the license.
- Step 6: Now you have to apply for online License/Registration.
- Step 7: Fill the Online Application with all the required details.
- Step 8: This will take some time in loading your necessary documents.
- Step 9: The reference number should be noted that is displayed on the screen after submission of the application.
- Step 10: Track the progress of your application for Registration or Licensing.
How to check the application status of your FSSAI registration
- Step 1: Visit the FSSAI website (https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in/index.aspx)
- Step 2: Enter your unique tracking details (a 17 digit application number) as shown on the form.
- Step 2: By entering your details, you would be redirected to the status page.
