Shooting is a beautiful sport and it is about passion and power where one displays its inner emotions. Shooting is very simple just as the life we have to event something and then target and just to shoot. We aim and shoot towards our target. Now shooting from best break barrel shooting rifles has been the center of attraction for the media most of the time. And it has been always appreciated and motivated as a sport. Indian shooters haven’t been able to grab much attention but the Olympic game fraternity has posted them with lots of medals and India has produced multiple amazing shooters.

In the past, there have been a lot of shooters who have won various games and what different medals for the nation and the youth shooters are also creating history.

Abhinav Bindra

 On 11th August 2008 when he finished his 10-meter air rifle event at the Beijing Olympics to be the first-ever individual gold medalist for our nation India. He created history and stood as an inspiration to a lot of shooters who are aiming to make it big.

Gagan Narang

He has been in the limelight since he won the gold at the Afro Asian games in Hyderabad in 2003. Though this Shooter having a poor Athens Olympics where he failed to qualify for the finals we saw a comeback that made him score a perfect 600 during the qualification round at the world cup and bought 4 gold medals at 2006 Commonwealth Games and a bronze in 2012 London Olympic games. the Chennai Shooter made history.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore

Has been India’s lone tried at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He finished the second in double trap event and gave India it’s only Olympic medal in 2004. Have had an amazing career from 2000 to 2006 where he won unbelievable 25 International medals at various double trap championships.

Vijay Kumar

Who won the gold medal for a successively second time at 2010 commonwealth games in the singles also in Paris category of 25 m rapid fire pistol event after having both the winds in the categories during the 2006 Commonwealth Games as well achieving a rare feat. he raised the bars after winning the Silver Medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the 25 m rapid fire pistol event it is said that he has a fine eye.

 Anjali Bhagwat

She has been the only Indian Shooter to have won the ICC Champions Trophy in a rifle man and women mixed event in Munich in 2002. Being named as The Wonder woman has made the country proud Multiple times during occasions like 2010, 2006 Commonwealth Games, in 1999 Auckland shooting championships. She has won an enormous number 31 gold medals in an entire career proving what kind of a live-fire she was. 

Jitu Rai

He was a Subedar major in 11 Gorkha Rifles of the Indian Army. With consistent performance on the global stage, he made a stupendous 2014 where he had won the gold medal in 10m air rifle category and clinched silver medals in 10m air pistol and 50m pistol category at ISSF World Cup.

Manavjit Singh Sandhu

The shooter has enjoyed multiple success like in the four Asian games that he was part of getting free silvers in Bangkok the sun in Doha also winning a silver in the individual category in Doha games also ISSF two-time gold medalist at WorldCup winning in 2010 and in 2014 also won three bronze medals along with a winning Silver Medal at World Cups. He has also won 1998 Commonwealth Games gold and won a bronze in the individual trap category at Melbourne games in 2006 and Delhi games in 2010 and also was part of silver wedding trap in Delhi 2010
